Any other symptoms : You might have a contusion or associated muscle spasm from trauma but if you hVe continued pain or spinal deformity on palpation of your spine or signs of weakness or numbness in your legs or changes in bowel or bladder function you should be examined immediately

It depends: Various things could cause this, from things like simple muscle sprain, exertional compartment syndrome, to stress injuries to bone and/or muscle, or more serious issues. You need to be evaluated to figure out the cause and rule out any serious pathology.

Doctor Visit: Pain should not be increasing over time. Are you on crutches? How are you walking around? May need to rest the knee. Likely a meniscus tear or MCL sprain. See a doctor for exam and follow up to stop pain and prevent further knee damage.

SEE SOMEONE: Lipomas can get large and are very characteristically soft feeling. That one sounds quite large and can cause you some irritation. Go get it checked out and removed before it gets larger.

Knee pain: it could be serious, or not.  It sound like one of your collateral ligament is injured.  The problem with these injuries is they can lead to other knee injuries if not treated properly and if you okay without proper equipment. Ni suggest you see a sports medicine specialist or orthopedist for evaluation and treatment before you play or practice.
