: It depends on a persons age Generally the older the person is after 40yrs . But it is not related to abstinencenor the childs general health

See fertility Dr.: You may well be candidate for IUI. This needs to be performed by a trained gynecologist. Certainly not a complicated procedure, however semen needs to be as fresh as possible &amp; thus produced immediately before IUI.

Can't: Unfortunately, there is no rule-of-thumb type of indicator as to sperm quantity, completeness, or motility. He would need to be evaluated by a urologist and have a formal count/evaluation done. However, if you have not been ttc and unsuccessful for at least 6-9 months, it may be a matter of timing of intercourse(s), and can also allow some time for trial-and-error.

after my husband got the covid vaxccine his sperm burns when it gets on or in my vagina really bad. it was never burning before. could have the vaccine damaged his sperm quality? and if so will it get better? its been 17 months?

: The covid vaccine does not change the sperms to cause those symptoms. You should have your gyn check you to see there is no problem in the vagina. Your husband can get his semen tested. It sounds more like an allergy. In the meantime have him wear a condom. Good luck

So tell us what is wrong and we can think about any possible solution but you can not improve the quality of sperms! Either you have them or you do not!

Let's see?: Malnutrition can affect sperm quality.  If this is not the case, I am not aware of any dietary manipulation to affect sperm quantity or quality other than an normal nutritious diet.

Weight and lifestyle: Men who are overweight may get better sperm by losing weight, and men should cut down heavy alcohol and quit tobacco use, avoid illegal drugs and anabolic steroids, and review prescription drugs with their md. Abnormal semen analysis, such as low sperm count, always needs a 2nd test 1-2 months later for confirmation. I recommend seeing a reproductive endocrinologist, and/or a urologist.
