Nipple confusion: Breastfeeding and bottle feeding are very different with respect to the way a baby needs to suck. Breastfeeding requires the baby to have a wide open mouth with the tongue down and curled under the nipple. Some babies can become "confused" if artificial nipples from pacifiers and or bottles are introduced early, before breastfeeding is well established.

The main goal of most is to avoid bottle introduction until the milk is well established. Then use as an occasional backup is generally accepted by baby.

: It is possible to breastfeed after the bottle but will require patience but can be done. The milk flow from a bottle is quite different from the breast. You can try switching to a slower flow nipple as a transition or switching to breast mid feed. I would also recommend enlisting the help of a lactation consultant.

For some babies: It does exist for some babies. The problem is there is no way to tell which babies will have trouble and which ones won't. There is definitely a group of infants who, once they get fed from a bottle, refuse breast because it is more work. The majority of infants don't care - as long as food comes out the end, they will feed. I know you're sore, but try to get through a few more days- it will clear

Unlikely confusion: Nipple confusion is more likely if a kid refuses a bottle because they want the breast or vise versa. Your baby may be noticing the change in flow rate that comes naturally during bf.After 5 min the flow rate can slow (80% empties in the first 5min) .The flow rate with a bottle varies only with babies suck. Try switching sides after 5min & let her go back if willing after another 5/side.

: It would be best if possible to meet with a lactation consultant to assess the baby's latch and see if something else is going on, for example tongue tie. Your doctor's office, the local hospital or Lecha League is a good place to find one. They can also help give tips on pumping, transitioning to bottle feeding etc. Best of luck!

Needs to be checked: Dizzyness and disorientation needs to be investigated to find the cause.I suggest you consult your doctor asap.Especially as you also have chect pain.If you cant get apt with your doctor go to the Emergency Dept of nearer Hospital

i took 3 54mg daily concerta for my adhd(taken 6/7 hours apart) studying began feeling disoriented, pressure in chest, ears felt pluged with air, feeling better except disorientation, and small pressure like nausia/anticipation. is three safe to take?

: I would never advise one to take that amount of this drug. Your blood pressure was likely elevated ant the stress on your system produced the symptoms cited. The idea that some helps and more helps more doesn't apply to ADHD drugs at the high end of the dose range. You are lucky you didn't end up in the ER.
