Vit C Could: I think you are saying "diaper rashes"   And yes the vitamin C could definitely cause a diaper rash due to its acidity.  I would discontinue its use.

i get pvcss and tachycardia. doc said avoid over the counter supplements. does that include vitamin c gummies? i like to have a few during flu season

Pvc's: I don't believe that vit C in recommended daily doses increases heart irritability. Licorice,if its in the gummies, is to be avoided because in heavy doses it elevates blood pressure.

Not that uncommon: A cough from e.g. Bronchitis may last several weeks so it is not surprising to hear of a cough lasting 3 or 4 days. Keeping your overall health strong helps. Might get some benefit from medications and possibly inhalers, check with your doc.

COUGH: Pulmonary symptoms to include cough may linger for  weeks in some people.  Make sure to remain well hydrated. Get emergency care for difficulty breathing, blue lips or face, significant &amp; persistent chest pain or new-onset of confusion.

Patience: A cough is a natural protective mechanism designed to bring up mucus/debris from deep in the lung so it can be removed. None of the over the counter meds or supplements have been found effective or needed in these kids.At most they just give you something to do so you feel better (not the kid). I find a 1/2 tsp of honey with lemon juice or chocolate are as good as anything to provide some benefit

Flu or COVID-19?: If "flu tablets" means an effective antiviral drug such as oseltamivir (Tamiflu) and there's been no improvement, probably you don't have influenza but some other viral infection. It could be COVID-19; if you have not been tested for coronavirus, ask your doctor about it ASAP. Good luck.

Not needed but good: Well, it was never really required.  It is beneficial though.  Vitamin C concentrations in the plasma and leukocytes rapidly decline during infections and stress. Supplementation of vitamin C was found to improve components of the human immune system such as antimicrobial and natural killer cell activities, lymphocyte proliferation, chemotaxis, and delayed-type hypersensitivity.

Antihistamines/rest : Rest plus an antihistamine and warm salt water gargles will help. Vitamin c can help and can't hurt. Try airborne at first signs of a cold. The most important thing is to rest and not to rush back to normal life until you are recovered.

Time to see the doc: You are doing so much right!  But a month-long productive cough suggests to me it is time to have a doctor listen to your lungs, check your sinuses, perhaps analyze the phlegm. Hang in there.
