See below.  : The Scilla is the area of the body sometimes referred to as the underarm.  Axillary pain is pain that arises from that area.  There are multiple potential causes of pain in that area.

Why wait?: There are many different things that can be causing your pain, most of which are not worrisome, but it is impossible to know without having a formal physician evaluation.  There is no upside to waiting other than the anxiety that comes with uncertainty.

Could be: While other things also can give you the same problems- such muskuloskeletal related pain, inflammation etc- cancer could be and would be on the differential diagnosis to rule out. Please see your doctor and have a proper breast examination. A mammogram plus minus sonogram may need to be done- as indicated. Good luck.

These are not sxs of: Early pregnancy. Classic pregnancy
sxs begin when period is missed or thereafter (6-8 wks).  Sx’s can include: tender /swollen breasts, nausea or vomiting; lack of period; ^ frequency of urination; headaches, insomnia, fatigue. Moodiness, mild cramping, food cravings ; aversions; passing gas; enlarging waist line ; ^ white, milky vaginal discharge. Take pregnancy test to know. Get sxs eval.

Yes: Pain is often in all directions of movement and there is restriction of movement of shoulder to a variable degree. I am assuming that you have seen an orthopedic surgeon.

Infection: Infection is the most frequent source of this acute onset illness and would strongly recommend you go immediately and be seen by a doctor. Go to an ER if necessary. Hopefully this will not be too severe and perhaps not due to infection, but do not ignore it and make sure you are seen ASAP. Good luck.

: "Fibrocystic breast disease" can cause breast pain and heaviness, and increase friction on undergarments may cause itchiness.  Consult your GYN physician about low dose oral bcp's, which stop ovarian hormone production and may make fibrocystic disease less uncomfortable.

Folliculitis: It sounds as if you are describing an early 'folliculitis' or 'furuncle' which is an infection the skin glands or pores.  Usually these go away by keeping the lesion clean and dry.  If it becomes big or painful be sure to see a doctor.

Not urgent: Pain and swelling do warrant an evaluation by a doctor.  It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you.
