Planning: Get a good book and plan it out. See triathlon training by michael finch. Check the bookstore and see what works for you. Basically, you need to train each element separately. Then do "brick" workouts where you do 2 or all three in succession. Most popular is ride/run. I recommend a 5:1 or 4:1 ratio. I.E. Ride 20/run 4 or 5. Then, practice the transitions, to become smooth. Slow=smooth=fast.

You need to be trained in each discipline first. Then try 2 in succession. This is called a "brick" workout. Usually it is ride/run. I use a 5:1 or 4:1 ratio. I.E. Ride 20miles/run 4 or 5 miles. Start slowly, build up and follow the plan. Race the way you train.

however i lately cannot run without my heart rate spiking to 190-208bpm and i almost pass out. this happens even when running slowly and starts after minutes?

SVT: Would be suspcious for SVT. You should be seen and a monitor should be warn to assess for possible tachycardia.

Diet very important. Race the way you train, do not try anything new on race day ! i started @ 51 and still doing 10 years later. Good luck.

current 33 y/o, 125 lbs and 67 inches tall - i had legg calve perthes when >9 y/o, advisable to train for triathlon or will this ruin my hip?

It depend : How much problem you have in your hip?
Any bony changes? Any deformity? How the joint?
All these factors play roll in deciding if that will badly effect you.

what should i take to clear up the sickness and can i still train - training for triathlon so i need to ride today moderately for 1h30 ?

Throat &amp; Lung Issues: Self-diagnosis isn't helpful under these conditions.  Please see your doctor.  He/she can help clear up whatever is going on faster.  Congrats on becoming smoke free.  Please don't let this become an excuse to smoke again.  Peace and good health.

is it ok to continue to train for triathlons with mild l5/s1 facet joint arthropathy( just right side) from an injury 6 months ago? i'm just 22

Yes You Can: You will get over this.  It is not over, at least not yet ;).  Start a physical therapy/exercise program, remember start slow and take your time to get back to health and strength.  Look at all those athletes out there in the world, they take their sweet time before getting back on the field.  It must all mean something...  Facet injections/Treatments are also helpful if you are not improving.

why do i get headaches after long train rides home ~45min each? happens almost every time.

I would : Try taking aleve (naproxen) or ibuprofin prior to getting on, not sure what it is about the ride that's doing it but stopping it before it starts can help.  If you get recurrent migraines, topirimate 50 mg at night can help, make are sinuses are clear and you have had a recent eye exam.  Good luck.

Holter: Ask ur doc for a holster study and get a 2D echo done before which get an EKG. If you have severe anemia , it can cause you to black out as well. If  all if this is negative, you need to see a neurologist

Absolutely!: The benefits are this.  Body fat burns few calories at rest since it calorie storage tissue.  Muscle has greater density and is very active metabolically, even at rest. Two people of identical weight will have different metabolisms: the one with a lower percent body fat will burn more calories at rest.
