Likely normal: Past use of morning-after contraception, as well as past use of any form of hormonal birth control, has never been shown to adversely affect pregnancy. Please consider using regular birth control (instead of morning-after) until you decide you'd like to become pregnant, to minimize side effects and offer best protection.

Bad idea.: Emergency contraception is to be used when a method of birth control fails. The morning after-pill is not meant to be used after deliberately avoiding one's primary method of birth control. That means a couple who plan to have sex (plan = non-emergency) without birth control needs to rethink their plan. The woman can ask about getting an IUD, which prevents pregnancy for years until it's removed.

Not birth control!: Unwanted 72 is a form of emergency contraception.  It is a single-dose pill from my understanding.  It is not as effective as other forms of birth control, nor should it be used as a form of birth control - at some point you are going to end up with an un-intended pregnancy.  If you are using this on multiple occasions, then make sure you check a pregnancy test and get on some birth control!

i have eaten unwanted 72 pills two times. last i did sex on march end and i had my regular periods on april 1st week but know my periods are getting delayed. i haven't got my periods of may and june yet. can you please suggest me what to do ?

: Just do a urine pregnancy test to make sure you are not pregnant first. If you miss your period for more than 3 months without pregnancy then you should see a GYN doctor. Good luck.

after taking unwanted 72 the other day i pooped 2 times a day which isn't normal for me because i used to pass out the stool only once in a day and i feel frequent urination than other days. is it because of the pill or it's just normal ??

: It seems you are talking about emergency contraceptive. If so, having two bowel movements will not diminish the effectiveness of the medication.
If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.

Unlikely, but...: Emergency contraceptive pills work most of the time, but not all of the time. An IUD works (as emergency contraception) more reliably than taking pills. In any case, one should do a home urine pregnancy test 3 weeks after sex. As always, life can surprise you, so fertile couples having sex should be ready to raise that rare, but cute, surprise baby, if that happens.

: The 72 pill works in any young woman mature enough to release an egg. The hormonal composition may have some transitional side effects which will be described in the packaging.

Not good: When you take that pill you are forcing your body not to ovulate. By doing this pregnancy is prevented. If the egg has been release, the pill will prevent the sperm from fertilizing it.  Use in excess  can damage your reproductive system. Increase risk of infertility.

Pregnancy: Emergency Contraception isn't perfect.  If she has missed her period, she needs a pregnancy test.  You can get one at the pharmacy without a prescription.  If she isn't pregnant, you should know that emergency contraception can cause a delay in the onset of her next period.   Best wishes!
