Need to repeat: There is some HCG but not enough to be diagnostic of pregnancy. Please repeat the test in 4-5 days, unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

Definitely maybe: It means the results are borderline positive, something you might see very early in pregnancy, so you are definitely maybe pregnant but the results are not strong enough to say a definite yes. You can try another brand or wait a few days and try again. A blood test wold be more definitive but a home test should be positive soon if you really are pregnant.

Great question!: There is not a good way to predict the validity of your expired pregnancy test.  It will be important to repeat it with a fresh test, but assume and treat your body as if you ARE pregnant until proven otherwise.

Probably but depends: This somewhat depends on the brand of test; most, though, will have one line that is called the "control" that will always be solid and darker. The other line on most tests will show up if the person is pregnant. Sometimes this is much lighter than the control. I would recommend checking the package to see if that's what it shows and seeing your physician for confirmation. Best of luck to you!
