Maybe important: Is your pain changed with deep breaths?  Is your pain affected by moving your shoulder or pressing against your shoulder?  Is your pain affected by pushing on your middle of chest?  If your answer is yes, then you have a musculoskeletal problem ( issue relating to bone, muscle or other connective tissue and not heart).

If answer no and you have a family history of heart attacks, go to emergency!

Each cause has different treatments, so appropriate diagnosis is key.

Maybe/not: Scoliosis is a condition where the vertebrae that make up the spine do not form in a straight line. Like a stack of bricks on uneven mortar, the stack can drift one way or the other. This would be evident on x-ray &amp; most cases are mild with few if any symptoms. It might be posture or poor physical conditioning. Your doc could sort it out.

Could be: Shoulder pain could be from bursitis, tendonitis, arthritis and just bruise from mechanical fall. 
If there is no repetitive use of the shoulder like throwing ball=no rotator cuff tendonitis. If there is no obvious injury/deformity of the joint., you can try anti inflammatory medicine like ibuprofen, naproxane for 7 days, apply ice and avoid repetitive movement. If no improvement get examined
