Perhaps: Blood pressure & cholesterol are 2 distinct risk factors for heart disease & stroke. You can have one w/o other, or you can have both. Top BP number should ideally be less than 120 while bottom BP number should be less than 80. Hypertension or high BP is treatable w/medication when top is greater than 140 or bottom is greater than 90. Heart risk calculator can be used to determine goal cholesterol.
