Vaginal pain: Stinging or burning in vagina is causes usually by an infection.You need an exam with a speculum and cultures.Also a pelvic exam can determine if you have herpes which can cause burning pain.There may be shallow painful ulcers.Treatment depends upon the cause-yeast vaginitis , bacterial vaginosis etc would need a creme insertion.Herpes needs oral tablets and local creme.

Trauma...: Rough sex can cause slight trauma to the vagina.  You can get scratches, chaffing, fissures, etc.  These can be painful.  Time will usually take care of the problem.  The area is designed to handle the trauma of sex and childbirth, but I have had to put in stitches on rare occasions.   If it's not getting better quickly, see your gyn.  Play nice next time. Concerning: That is concerning for a herpes infection. Herpes can cause stinging and this is a common location. A yeast infection can also do this. A small laceration, scratch mark or local skin irritation are other possibilities. Get checked out and tested.

This could be anything from the toilet paper you use, to dryer sheets residue on your panties, to chemicals in the pads or tampons that you use. You also can get things like yeast infections without being sexually active, so might need to see doc

: Simple bathing in cold water followed by application of a mild OTC steroid cream may give some relief. If the area is very red consider the possibility of a yeast infection arising from the yeast found in the stool. If it bothers her enough she may be willing to have it examined and a more specific therapy provided.
