PIs are the minimum information from research &amp; clinical trials which FDA believes should be available to all physicians in order to intelligently decide whether to recommend the product to a person, or not. Up to 5 days: It is a very long-acting and very slowly metabolized drug, and its metabolites (norbuprenorphine) stay even longer if they are being looked for.  Most drug screens do not test for it, and there are special kits that do. Confrimatory tests (GC/MS, LC/MS/MS) should detect it in any case, and depending on where they set their sensitivity (like 50 ng/ml) can detect it for 7-10 days.

Testing: are you being specifically tested for buprenorphine? a standard urine drug panel will not test positive for use of buprenorphine. if they are tesing specifically for the buprenorphine it could take more than 5-6 days to exit your system. if its an employment drug test and they are doing a random screen, chances are that you won't test positive for opiates - assuming no use of other opiates.

See your doctor : More information is needed to answer your question. See your doctor for recommendations about tapering your Suboxone dose.  It's an important decision in order to help keep you comfortable and to prevent relapse in your opiate use.

Yes: It is a safe drug, you just might have some temporary side effects but it will not cause breathing problems like regular opiates.

i have been on suboxone since one month and i am taking exactly as prescribed. i am terrified of stories i've read ofwithdrawal. was the "little to no withdrawal" a lie?

It depends: Withdrawal symptoms can occur after abruptly stopping any opiate. Such withdrawal symptoms are minimized by following the doctor's instructions and slowly tapering your daily dose over time. It's much easier to discontinue from, for example, one half a milligram per day than eight or even sixteen milligrams per day. My advice is to not believe all those "stories" out there. Good luck.

can you take suboxone and ambien (zolpidem) together just for one night?

Dual diagnosis: I recommend not taking ambien (zolpidem) and suboxone. Withdrawal and insomnia is part of the process of withdrawal. Taking another potentially addictive medication is not recommended. I would only advise it's use under the strict oversight of an addiction specialist during the time of use under a medication of Suboxone which enhances it's effects
