But if you're concerned, best to go see your family doc to get checked out. I'm sure you know, but just in case, birth control prevents pregnancy, but not sexually transmitted infections. If you're not mutually monogamous, make him wear a condom.

Maybe your partner wasn't the virgin he said he was; or recurrent chlamydia; or a different STD from some previous partner. "I've been clean" doesn't mean anything if not tested, and some STDs don't show up in routine exams. Get care ASAP. Use condoms!
