Manufacturer's code: It's the manufacturer's number code for the drug. All prescription medications have such codes. If you google "pill identifier" or something similar, you'll find several online services that use such identifying numbers (and also pill color, size, shape, etc) to see what the drug is.

No worries: Amoxicillin and other penicillin like antibiotics are excreted via kidneys and can cause dark urine and sometimes smelly urine. Lack of smell dose not indicate inactivity of the medication and you should not be worried about it.

Yes: Or never really were allergic.  Many people get labelled as allergic who were never truly reacting to the drug in question.  If you are taking Amoxicillin without a reaction you are not allergic to penicillin.

i'm meant to of taken three amoxicillin three times a day for seven weeks. i have only had three in one day. if i don't take any today can i drink?

Yes: The usual dose of Amoxicillin is 250-500 milligrams three times a day. There are very few infections that require 7 weeks of treatment.  Osteomyelitis would be the main one.  You can drink alcohol while taking Amoxicillin but do it in moderation.

Synergy: It is very difficult to take antibiotics on 2 schedules.  Metronidazole can be given every 8 hours.  I would call your doc and ask if there can be a dose alteration for sleep and sanity sake.

if after taking amoxicillin and your swelling goes down, does that mean your infection is clearing up?

It is a good sign: I am not sure where your infection is, but taking the Amoxicillin which is helping with the redness/swelling at the infection site is a very good sign that it is responding to the treatment. Fever/pain should subside as well. I suggest continuing to complete the full course of the antibiotic and follow-up with doc as instructed. Good luck to you.

No side effects?: When you took the amoxicillin did you have any type of adverse reactions? Swelling more than normal, air constriction, etc.? If you didn't, then you are don't have an allergy to penicillin.
