what do blackheads usually look like?

Black dots: Like black dots on the skin, sometimes surrounded by slightly eleveted skin. The whole lesion is only about 1mm, no more than 2mm.

there are small, what look like to be blackheads maybe, all over my legs. been there for years. tried lotion and other things. please help.

Keratosis pilaris, ?: It sounds like you have either keratosis pilaris or, if you shave, ingrown hairs.. It may help to use lotions that exfoliate the skin and open the hair follicles, like lachydrin, (lactic acid) but sometimes that can aggravate the problem.  Either way, the skin needs to get hydrated.  Avoid soap, hot water, and  use coconut oil on your skin as soon as you have finished showering, but before you dry. Good luck.

Blackhead?: The only thing more dangerous than self- diagnosis is ineffective self directed "treatment" based on an incorrect diagnosis. We're talking about your face. You don't want to create scar tissue. See a skin specialist now, a Dermatologist, for safe effective treatment.

i have two black bumps on my labia minora, they look like two big blackheads although are causing pain and seem to be very hard underneath the skin?

Black bumps: Any skin lesions that are new, or are symptomatic, or that your body brings to your attention should be checked by your dermatologist or gynecologist or family doctor.  They will want to know how've long have the spots been present, has there been any trauma (blood blister), and are they changing to help in their evaluation.

had tiny mole most of life. tip fell off, removing most it. grew back.derm said blackhead, but doesn't look like. not extractable, shiny skin over it.

Second opinion: Derms are very good at assessing skin lesions. If you are concerned about accuracy of diagnosis, get a second opinion.

PORES: Pores are not like doors. You cannot open and close them whenever you wish. Pores are the openings of oil glands; they are inherited; you cannot change their size. Oily skin & severe acne may make pores “appear” larger. Squeezing blackheads & pimples can lead to permanently widened pores. Toners & astringents can make them look smaller temporarily. And get rid of your magnifying mirrors!

my niece has two black spots on her scalp. it's hard for her to go to sleep. they look like blackhead pimples but are large. is it staph infection?

I'm worried too: You are correct.  Especially since it's painful, this is the bad staph until proved otherwise. Have her seen now.

tingling and itching. Many people feel an itching, burning or tingling sensation around their lips for a day or two before cold sore blisters erupt.
Blisters. Small fluid-filled blisters typically break out along the border where the outside edge of the lips meets the skin of the face.

No: Elmer's glue, or any similar glue, is not able to get a good grip on comedones inside skin pores and pull them out when one peels off the dried layer of glue.

Not removable: This is a skin finding related to the glands within the areola around the nipple.  It is not associated with a problem, but it worth having your ob/gyn do a skin exam of the area and make recommendations on skin care.  This is not something that can be removed.
