Urticaria: Urticaria, or hives, can occur during times of stress - both physical and emotional.  Menstruation can cause both.  Hives, as with most allergic reactions, are additive, meaning that little thing you may be allergic to (food coloring, pollen, etc) may add up to a flare-up, and worsen with stress.  Controlling some of these with antihistamines (claritin, benadryl, (diphenhydramine) etc) may help.

Unlikely but...: Very unlikely unless you have a phenomenon called double ovulation and you are ovulating more frequently possibly when your period is over. Good luck.

See your doc: It sounds like you are not ovulating regularly, which can be caused by many different conditions. You ob/gyn can help you figure this out and make a plan to regulate your cycles, or eliminate them entirely.

Heavy periods.: There are multiple options for heavy periods. Hormonal treatments such as birth control pills, Progesterone treatments and the Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud are effective reversible treatments that will help many people. There is also a drug called Lysteda that contains no hormones which will help others. Vaginal odor is usually bacterial vaginosis but confirmation will be required.

Regular periods ?: The best way to make certain about having regular periods is to start low dose oral contraceptives, if there are no contraindications ( history of blood clots, etc.).  Taking the bcp's on time (within the hour of taking the previous night's pill) will ensure you are not pregnant, even if your bleeding is very slight.

Doctor can evaluate: There are many causes for irregular menstruation. One common one is polycystic ovarian syndrome (pcos), a hormonal imbalance along with cysts in the ovaries. Though most irregular menstruation is not acutely dangerous, any woman who does not menstruate monthly should consider seeing her pcp or an ob/gyn for evaluation.

Some thoughts...: In a woman with regular periods, some causes of a late period include: excessive weight loss or weight gain, increased exercising, emotional stress, having an illness, traveling, medicines (like birth control pills), hormonal imbalances, etc…  Seeing a doctor is a good idea if symptoms are persistent, recurring, or worrisome. Pregnancy is the common cause of a missed period, if sexually active.

hi, my menstrual cycle was always regular. it was until december last year. i was sexually active with the pull out method in december. my last regular period was on the 21st nov, i did not get my period for the whole of december, which is not normal?

Delayed period ?'s: If your last period was "Nov. 21st" and "no period in Dec. 2020", since it is now February 15th, 2021, it is possible that you are pregnant.  Obtain a serum HCG test to confirm that pregnancy is present, and if positive, see your OB physician.  The "pullout" method of contraception is not reliable.

Menarche : If it is first time, it is called menarche. At beginning, the menstral cycle may be irregular. It will become more regular later. But if it last too long and cause too much bleeding, doctor consulting is needed to make sure she does not become anemia.
