Must be excised: I don't know of any other way to remove. Usually done under local anesthesia with quick recovery.

Unknown Cause: When calcification of the scrotal wall occurs, there is still uncertainty as to the cause.  Some believe it is from the breakdown of the muscle in the skin; others believe it is incited by trauma.
Regardless, the treatment is the same: surgical excision if desired by the patient.  They can recur, but if all nodules are excised this is reduced.  It is not associated with cancer or uncleanliness.

Scrotal calcinosis: Benign condition involving deposition of calcium into nodules in scrotal skin. Usually continue to enlarge. Only known treatment is surgical excision of affected scrotal skin. Quite rare ; most drs have never seen a case. Suggest you do some research to find an appropriately experienced urologist to take care of problem. Reference: new england journal of medicine vol 365 (7) page 647, 2011.

Should: This should resolve. Typically the pressure from the fluid causes the nerve dysfuntioin. As long as the nerve was not damaged or cut I would expect your symptoms to resolve.  Make sure you recheck surgeon if fluid persists in scrotum.

I'll bet you're fine: Here's the score. At you're age, you're still learning about your body. Skin on the scrotum varies from loose to tight depending on the state of the dartos muscle -- the smooth muscle that automatically contracts when you take a cold shower -- and just how a guy is put together. You really can't grow new skin just by scratching. Talk with your physician next visit or talk with friends or even Dad.

Unwise: I would follow your surgeons advice about any type of sexual activity given that they know your case better. A simple contact with their office can explore whether they think any sexual activity is wise now or after 6 weeks. You don't need to describe what that sexual activity would be unless they ask.

i had testicular torsion surgery recently. i just removed my plasters. i feel a hard like tube thing in my scrotum. is this something to worry about or is this suture that they used to attach testis?

: When the area is healing post-op you can feel all kinds of things in the area, But it is best you see your surgeon and have him/her check it

had testis torsion back in november surgery 2 day later (orchiopexy) later it died off because it got too damaged so in januari had orchiectomy, but ever since the orchiopexy i gotten white dry flakes on my scrotum, what causes it? i see after shower?

: Likely the scrotum was swollen post op and with recovery the scrotal skin is now back to its original shape so it sloughs dead skin as flakes. You just apply moisturizer after shower daily and the scrotum will normalize soon.
