Jock itch : Jock itch is a yeast or fungal infection. Yeast or fungal infections can develop iand cause very itchy rashes on the skin. Usually improve with antifungal cream ( over the counter) or powders. But needs to be continued for 6-8 weeks.wash frequently. Loose weight. Wear loose fitting clothing.  If not,  see an MD

Fungal infection: Sounds like tinea cruris / "jock itch." likely not related to the Cipro (ciprofloxacin) at all. Consider using a topical antifungal (spray / cream).

Leave it alone: Scrotal itching and rash isn't usually due to fungal infection, which is more likely to affect the the groin (e.g. Inner thighs) than the scrotum itself.  Scrotal rashes are more often due to dry skin or excessive scratching.  The best thing to do is to avoid over-washing, especially with soap and hot water, and avoid scratching.  In other words: leave your balls alone, and they'll get better.

Scrotal itching: Common non-STD causes of scrotal itching include eczema, psoriasis, jock itch (tinea cruris), candida (fungal) infection. If you have any eczema and psoriasis lesions in your body elsewhere then this may be the culprit in your scrotum as well. Otherwise, it is best to maintain good scrotal hygeine and keep the area dry. If the itching does not resolve in 2-3 days, then I recommend a physician eval

Scrotum, testis pain: Scrotum or testicle pain means a trip to the doctor because a testicle's blood supply can be twisted off (torsion). When that happens, the testicle can die. Other causes of testicle pain include trauma, infection, twisting of an appendix of a testicle (a small lump near a testicle), etc. Since one usually cannot tell for sure if his testicle is twisted, he needs an exam by a clinic or ER doctor.
