: The stool color is provided by the bile from the liver that is adds to fecal debris. It starts out a deep green &amp; slowly changes thru greens to yellows to browns as the germs in the intestines metabolize the bile. Green generally means the stool in question moved through faster or was subject to less change by gut germs.

Very low: Colorectal cancer does not cause this specific character of stool, and while not impossible, the chances  are close to zero you have colorectal cancer. Best to see your primary care provider for a more complete evaluation to be sure. Hope this helps!

Diet: Intake of green vegetable can impart a green color to stool and it is not a sign of cancer. Unless a first degree relative of yours developed colon cancer before the age of 28, you need not worry about colon cancer.

Pooh color...: Pooh comes in many colors depending on age and diet.  Green is not a problem. The color can change based on the child's diet.  Bright red or dark red/black pooh would be of concern as this is a sign of milk allergy. Iron can change the color of pooh to black which is not a problem.  As the child is well green is no problem.  It is not related to stress as long as there is no diarrhea stomach pain.

No...but....: Stool retention not a rare condition &amp; often starts in childhood. Some just have a slow system, others get there by voluntary by holding it, often after a painful experience with a hard or bulky poop. In time this can balloon out the large bowel &amp; lead to problems in later life. Scheduled daily emptying &amp; bowel wetting agents like miralax can return bowel size to normal over 1-2 yrs.

See below: Do not obsess about pooping.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.
