Mosquito Bites: Baking soda mixed with a little water then placed on the bite area is a cheap and effective way to help reduce the itching. There is a product call Ben's Afterbite that makes it easy to apply. You could also use Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or Hydrocortisone cream but given the bites are extensive, I would hesitate to place this amount cream all over your body. It can sometimes take days for the itching to stop.

What to do: Store aloe vera gel in the refrigerator and apply to affected area. Rub a basil leaf on the bite. It repels mosquitoes &amp; has anti-inflammatory properties effect. consider applying calamine lotion. Apply crushed ice or a cold pack. A 1 to 1 mix of water and baking soda is effective when applied to the lesions. You can take oral medications like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or Chlorpheniramine for itching.

Lastly, consider a non-sedating antihistamine such as zyrtec or Cetirizine if you would like an oral agent for several mosquito bites all over the body.
