  Oral metallic taste symptoms are probably a result of the Effexor (venlafaxine) and Enalapril and Hydrochlorothiazide. The matallic taste may result from one or a combination of these meds. Speak with prescribing  MDs.

Old filling or Meds: If you still have some silver fillings in your mouth and they are becoming worn down and the margins are leaking, you can develop a metallic taste in your mouth. However,  a number of medications like the ace inhibitors (lisinopril, zestril) which are commonly used to treat hypertension can cause a metallic taste as well. Also if your gums bleed easily you may taste the iron in the blood.

Meds?: Some meds, particularly biaxin, (clarithromycin) can cause a metallic taste.  Using an acidic juice like orange or lemon juice will fix it.

Temp non harmful sid: there are two kinds basically contrast material high Osmolality and low Osmolality materials used. I would ask my radiologist this question. Usually it is a temp. Non harmful side effect. Good luck
