Diverticulosis is presence of thin walled pockets in the wall of the colon; unknown if taking aloe vera juice has any beneficial effect, i.e. Preventing complications of diverticulitis or bleeding.

To reduce the formation of diverticula and possibly prevent diverticulitis, dietary fiber is needed. The simplest way to get enough fiber is to take metamucil or an equivalent  daily.
