does acid reflux cause dry tongue and bitterness?

Probably yes: It will not cause a dry tongue but may a cause bitter taste.  Over a period of time untreated acid reflux may dissolve the outer layer, enamel, of the teeth.

cheeks and under both sides of tongue sour/bitter all the time. irritation/swelling and thick whiteness in back of tongue. could this be acid reflux?

Whiteness tongue: If the white areas on the tongue are like cottage cheese and wipe off and under them is a reddish base, you could  have candida  oralis. This can be easily treated with an antifungal.   Reflux would have other symptoms like acid brash (acid taste on the throat after eating when you burp and you almost throw up acidic fluid). Try brushing your tongue both sides and the top (dorsum).  Might help.

i have chronic bitter/hot taste in my mouth for couple years. i believe it is acid reflux or something similar, even though it is very rare for food to come up. are there any home remedies to ease that? specially to remove the taste?

Bitter taste: I have recommended trying the taking of vitamin B12, bathing your tongue with maalox or applying glyoxide drops on the tongue to treat this symptom. I have also seen a few patients with intractable symptoms and referred them to the department of oral surgery at a dental school for evaluation and treatment.

Symptoms : You have a collection of varied symptoms which can be the result of a few things.  acid reflux, bitter taste in the mouth, heartburn can be from gastric reflux. You should speak to a doctor to evaluate you thoroughly

after endoscopy, my doc said i have bile reflux.  so my symptoms of bitter taste, nape pain, ear ache is due to bile reflux and not acid reflux?

Symptoms overlap: le reflux and gastric acid reflux are separate conditions. Whether bile is important in GERD is controversial. Bile is often  suspected of contributing to GERD when people respond incompletely or not at all to powerful acid-suppressant medications. But there is little evidence pinpointing the effects of bile reflux in people.Unlike gastric acid reflux, bile reflux can't be completely controlled .

can slight jaw pain, pressure in ears and nape pain be a symptoms of acid reflux? i also have bitter taste in mouth and sometime pain in swallowing.

Yes: Can also be symptoms of other problems.  But start with your General Physician.  Examination for GERD may be in order.

Maybe, but...: Could also be some other cause for the symptoms. One's doctor can check. Throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep throat).

Reflux more likely: You appear to have both acid and bile reflux which can really irritate and inflame your throat   see GI doc.

Yes it can!: As the acidic contents of your stomach rises to the back of your throat it can irritate those areas. Also, your brain "refers" pain from the back of your throat to your ears. That's the reason.
