can a wisdom tooth extraction site get infected 3 weeks after removal? i'm having some mouth pains around where they were pulled and some in my neck.

Yes: It is possible that you may have lodged some food debris in the healing extraction socket or that there are some spicules of bone or tooth debris that is still in the socket and is exfoliating.  Swelling and bleeding would be  indications of infection.  It's unlikely a dry socket.    Neck pain can  possibly be  muscle strain or TMJ from procedure .  Contact the oral surgeon for an evaluation.

Swelling: If the swelling is on the same side as the recent surgery, they may be associated.  Please contact the Dentist or specialist Oral Surgeon that treated you and ask for a post-surgical reevaluation.

Yes: Severity of pain depends on severity of the procedure. Have your surgeon examine you for any post operative complications.

Surgery: Common sense prevails. If sharp objects are chewed in area where previous surgery can cause pain.  Would try to avoid chewing substances that are uncomfortable near sites of previous surgery

Not recommended: Eating the wrong food can cause a significant amount of pain and unnecessary complications. The bone can take up to 6 months to heal completely.

after how many days/weeks/months of wisdom tooth extraction can i go for scaling/root planning? i have a loose wisdom tooth. dentist asked to remove it first. but i am concerned if it will be safe to clean so soon after removal?

: You have been asking many questions about your oral health, which is a good sign of your concern for maintaining it. As long as the extraction site is healed and no opening is present, than you can get the scaling and root planning. You must maintain good oral hygiene afterwards.

ive been taking ib profen 3 times a day because of my wisdom removal for about a week and a half. is this bad for my liver? should i be okay?

Should be OK: However to still require an analgesic 10 days or more post surgery would suggest that you contact your Oral Surgeon.  A reexamination may be in order.
