Please ask your OB: All ?S like this esp at the end of your pregnancy should be directed to your OB as your OB knows your situation and that is part of their job to answer all ?S u have, it could happen soon or never happen, losing your plug does not correlate with rupture of membranes, my advise to you is don't go past your due date 39-40 wks is the ideal time to deliver for the baby, i induce everyone by 40 wks.

No: I haven't found that mucous plug is a good predictor of when a woman goes into labor.  Women lose it at 35 weeks all the time and then go on to deliver weeks and weeks later. If you're having contractions or bleeding, definitely go to l&d, but rest assured that you're unlikely to deliver premature. Have doctor check your cervix at next visit, that is a greater predictor and will yield more info.

  It is impossible to give you reassurance without an exam or knowing you medical history.

I would suggest calling your OB and informing them today.

PLEASE CALL YOUR OB : Now! if u are having a problem today that u did not have yesterday u need to be evaluated today, lower right sided pain could be many diff things, that does not have anything to do with losing your mucus plug so please call your OB now.

Yes: Sometimes losing the mucous plug indicates labor is going to begin soon.  Cramping is the uterus and cervix preparing for labor.
