Multiple causes: It's probably normal. Semen comes out thin and watery, normal vaginal secretions are thin and watery. Bacterial vaginosis causes a thin discharge with a strong odor. If the problem persists, get it checks out.

Infection: This could be due to many things.  Of course, infection is always a concern; especially if odor is present.  Other possibilities include urine leakage, which may be more noticeable in the menopause/menopause transition phase.  If persistent and/or not relieved by conservative measures (e.g. manipulating fluid intake, Kegel exercises, treating any potential infection etc....), get it checked out.

Don't know.: When pregnant, vaginal discharge is thin, white ; milky. But because this is not a diagnostic symptom, a pregnancy test should be taken if you miss your period. Leukorrhea is normal vaginal discharge (d/c).  D/c is composed of cellular debris, vaginal secretions ; bacteria ; is stimulated by ^ vaginal blood flow ; ^ estrogen.  D/c ^ is seen w ovulation (clear ; like uncooked egg whites), clear/.

Various reasons: Vaginal discharge requires an examination to determine the cause and treatment. Bacterial vaginosis is the most common cause and often has a vaginal odor. Vaginal itching can be a sign of a yeast infection. Sometimes vaginal discharge can be a sign of a sexual transmitted infection.  After menopause hormone deficiency can cause vaginal discharge as well.

Inflammatory changes: It is pretty normal to have some discharge for a few weeks after a d and c as the lining of the uterus gets back to normal. You should be having a post op check with your surgeon soon so have them check it out.
