Urethritis: Sounds like sexual activities caused bacteria from the colon that often grows in the perineal area to enter the urethra, where it can cause pain, burning and always feeling like you need to go (but not wanting to go due to pain).  Using a wetwipe before & after sexual activity & always wiping front to back may help prevent this problem.

Needs evaluation: Blood in the urine always needs investigation.  The list is long from problems with the kidney, the ureters , the bladder and urethra.  Check in with your OB-GYN to get the evaluation started.

Nothing serious: No STD or other infection is a likely cause of such symptoms. It&#x27;s good you were tested to be safe, but I would have stopped after the first negative results. The cystoscopy means nothing wrong with your bladder. Even if the symptoms continue and are unexplained, for sure you have nothing harmful. Some people just have to live with symptoms of unknown cause but do so easily once known not serious.

Bladder infection...: Your son's symptoms are very suspicious of a urinary tract infection (UTI). He needs to see a doctor TODAY and have his urine tested. May likely need antibiotic. Make sure you take him to the doctor with a full bladder so obtaining a sample wouldn't be so difficult. There are other non-infectious reason for his symptoms but very important to first rule out UTI so it doesn't spread to kidneys.
