Have this checked: There can be multiple reasons for this. The one of most concern-would be a clot in the large vein of the leg. Nerve irritation can also cause this-neuropathy, as well as an infection of the skin. You should check for any redness or warmth on touching the areas. You should see your provider to have this evaluated further since any of the above issues have significant causes that need addressed

i am getting this warm sensation in on my entire thigh. mainly the left, but some on the right leg too. its warm to the touch but without pain, and is kind of red in color. i have ddd and have a 2 inch synovial cyst. could this be an issue with that?

: While sensory symptoms in one or both legs may be caused by a spinal cyst, I wouldn't expect associated skin redness. Cellulitis, a bacterial skin infection requiring systemic antibiotic treatment, causes spreading redness with burning sensation. Because of this I recommend being examined by a physician ASAP to check for presence of cellulitis,and if present,get started on treatment.

the area above my ankle on my lower right leg just suddenly got swollen, turned reddish and very warm to the touch. its very painful when i stand. i don't think i have been bitten by anything?

Painful: I agree with Dr. J. I have seen spider bites, in particular recluse spider bites, present like this. This type of bite is very painful and results in ulceration of the involved skin. Of course injury can also cause these findings but I would expect you to remember the trauma.
