Need a diagnosis: There are many things that can cause vaginal burning and a diagnosis is needed to determine the treatment. Yeast infections are the most common cause. Over the counter yeast creams are quite effective. Herpes is a common cause. Allergic reactions to household products are not rare. Lichen scleroris and lichen simplex chronicus are other skin disorders that we often find. An exam is needed.

i have a sore in my vulva area that is itching and slightly bleeding.  what could it be from? 33 yrs old, married.  history of anemia.  normal pap smears every year.

A : A "sore" in the vaginal area can be many things. A simple abscess(bacterial infection), a wart, cyst, herpes, syphilis, cancer, infected razor bump etc. It is so difficult to say without a more detailed history an physical exam. If it came on suddenly, it's probably a simple infection. See your doctor to be sure.

See you gynecologist: they will evaluate you and decide the best course of treatment.  If there is presence of a sore, you definitely need to be evaluated.

Vaginal : Vaginal iching and dryness could be from irritation secondary to a yeast infection, condom use, and/or lubricant. If you have thick white discharge in addition to the itching then an over the counter anti-fungal cream can be tried. If you merely have itching, consider a trial of vagisil, also over the counter.
If these treatment do not work, meaning your symptoms persist, you should have a medical evaluation.

Genital tingling: If such symptoms precede an oubreak of genital blisters sores by 1-2 days, it's probably a herpes prodrome. If it lasts more than a couple of days, or if no blisters/sores, it's not herpes. Perhaps some sort of dermatitis or irritation, e.g. early symptoms of a yeast infection? See a doctor if the problem continues or if it keep recurring.
