Uncertain: Some of my response is speculation. There are probably a # of possible reasons for nausea associated w sexual intercourse. Some women report nausea w deeper penile penetration ;/or rough sex. In this situation there may be pain which could trigger nausea. Indigestion ; acid reflux might be causative. Prostaglandins could play a role. In some situations – nausea or vomiting could be psychological.

Check preg test: Unprotected intercourse without backup birth control followed by nausea and vomiting and moodiness...Next step if to check a home pregnancy test. If positive then there is your answer. If negative then primary care doctor would be your next stop. Also if you do not want to be pregnant see your doctor to begin more effective birth control.

Pelvic pain: Pelvic pain is complex as there are several organs in the pelvis. The ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, bladder, appendix, intestines, colon and rectum can all be the source. Pelvic pain requires and examination to help organize the evaluation.  A doctor needs to rule out PID  and appendicitis as a cause since you have pain and nausea/ vomiting.

Is that everything?: Were you sick, eg intestinal virus? Something you ate? Is there something you left out? Like maybe you took Viagra (sildenafil) or were using horny goat weed? If it never happened before and you weren't sick, drug side effects are a good possibility.

Only if already: You can't get pregnant on your menstrual cycle, though not all vaginal bleeding is a menstrual cycle.  If you're concerned just check a pregnancy test.

Unlikely: As long as your menses was a real menses unlikely.  I recommend a 99cent pregnancy test and using barrier contraception to protect from pregnancy and stds and if you want to only protect from pregnancy i recommend either a hormonal or non hormonal form of bc.

Vomiting: Typical sexual activity doesn't usually cause those symptoms and it could be coincidence or abdominal muscle strain which in turn caused nausea and vomiting. If sex was the cause you should try a different technique or position. If these symptoms become more prevalent at other times or still occur with sexual activity, have a physician or your gynecologist evaluate you.

Unlikely: Do your birth control pills cause you to be nauseated normally?
