i am having visual disturbances which are affecting my daily activities. normally have to stop what i am doing and lie down then seems to go after a while. i do not get a head when this happens?

Confusing post: You cite visual disturbance but do not describe what they are. You also do not ask a clear question. I would arrange to see your doc to start. Write down all you symptoms &amp; how they began so you don't forget anything. This issue could be  a problem requiring special treatment.

No: Most ophthalmologists and those schooled in the west do not put a lot of credence in vision therapy.  They don't put a lot of credence on acupuncture but many find relief.  With migraines, certainly consider the care of a neurologist.  If appropriate your md may consider botox. At 28 you should not have trouble focusing at near unless you have latent hyperopia and need glasses.

Be seen: There are multiple potential causes and it may not be from just one cause.  Certainly would want to be seen and thoroughly evaluated for an accurate diagnosis.

Many things: Check to see if it is the left half of the field of both eyes - in which case it could be migraine.  Otherwise it could be a problem on the left such as retinal detachment, optic neuropathy, diabetes, cataract, glaucoma.  If persistent you should be your ophthalmologist for evaluation.

Poss Vestibulitis: If you are also having symptoms of a Sinus infection, it is likely that you developed secondary Vestibular neuritis  or labyrinthitis. These are disorders that result in inflammation of the inner ear and the nerve connecting the inner ear to the brain. They are usually caused by a viral infection, leading to vertigo, dizziness, and sometimes visual disturbance. See Dr if symptoms persist or worse.

Very concerned: Your symptoms sound very serious.  You need an MRI of the brain.  Please see a neurologist for a more focused diagnosis and treatment.

Difficult: Migraines are through their nature draining emotionally and physically as they impair function. When they change in nature, work up is generally needed as a variety of other conditions can cause headaches. Best would be to establish with a neurologist specializing in migraines that can start and adjust migraine prevention meds as well.

Repeat MRI: What you are describing are not usual complaints. The MRI (of the brain) should be repeated with either contrast or special sequecing and compared with the previous MRI to look for any change in the findings. If there is no significant changes you should still be seen by an appropriately trained provider for an appropriate evaluation and history including a diet and possible exposure history.
