There should: Be no relationship to visible veins and the birth control pill.  The risk of a blood clot is low and does not present this way.  I think you are focusing too hard on possible side effects.  Good luck.

i lutera birth control about 3-4 months ago. this cycle my breasts have continued to be sore through the end of my period and they also feel heavy and hard. is this a bad sign? the veins in my chest and breasts are also more visible through my skin.

Not really: I believe that you are saying that you just started Lutera and are continuing on it, at present.  Typically women may experience some breast tenderness either premenstrually and/or when they are new to the pill.  Lutera is a 20ug estrogen pill - one of the lower dose pills on the market.  You may consider going on a 10ug pill.  Did you have a recent weight change - that could account this too.

Possibly: Use of birth control pills can increase your risk of blood clots, particularly if you are a smoker. It is possible you may be experiencing pain from venous valve problems which can make legs feel heavy and tired. See your doctor if symptoms persist.

Should Not Matter: Although the use of hormonal birth control does have a higher risk for potential clotting, the presence of varicose veins shouldn't effect which method to use. More importantly, you should seek treatment from a qualified vein specialist to get your varicosities and the underlying cause taken care of, and then you may use any birth control you wish. Treatment is minimally invasive and easy to have.

No: Getting off birth control will help to decrease your risk of having a blood clot if you have varicose veins, but varicose veins are veins that are structurally broken and that isn't affected by the pill.

No: I'm sorry anyone told you something so foolish. Occasionally peripheral veins dilate and this seems to be genetic. In the arm, they're basically never the result of an unknown deep blood clot. The illness leading to post deep vein thrombus in legs or (rarely, Mr. Stallone) arms is not subtle. I'm glad you're health-conscious but there's no concern here.

Nothing: Likely it is nothing. First of all if you feel fine then nothing to worry about. There are some rare situations where it can be an explanation of chronic pelvic pain but otherwise an incidental finding

Depends : Most such pills do increase your risk of deep venous thrombosis.  Depending on how bad the vein problem is, varicose veins can also clot but usually its the larger varicosities, not just spider veins.  If you want to fix the veins to allow pill use, vein ablation is often possible, less painful and easier to get over than stripping. Check with your local vascular surgeon or vein center.
