Infections &amp;  hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do  a home pregnancy test .  There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

If you don't want to be pregnant see your doctor for effective birth control.  If not pregnant you will need to see your obgyn to discuss causes of pelvic pain and irregular periods. They will prob do an exam and sonogram to look for ovarian cyst.

More than one: explanation. Menstrual periods do vary in length, amount of bleeding, days of bleeding. What you experienced may have been just such a variation. It is also possible that a very early pregnancy was lost spontaneously. About 25% of pregnancy end that way. 
If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.
