Don't worry: Left ovarian veins( pleuxes) drain to left renal vein, (in men it is vericocele ) form veins ,  will not interfere with your pregnancy or  delivery.. Very rarely if left kidney tumor  when renal vein gets blocked also show those veins , you don't have to worry about it.

Collection of veins: It is a benign tangle of veins. Only do something if gets larger and/or causes pain. Men can have them in their scrotums and they are called varicoceles.

Ovarian veins.: Varicose veins of the ovaries are usually a sign of pelvic congestion syndrome but could also be a normal variant.  There is no association between ovarian veins and cancer.  See you gynecologist for further info.

iv had pain in left of my tummy low down for a while. scan showed prominant veins in left ovary can this cause the pain?

Unlikely Unless ...: The veins have clots within them or flow/drainage blocked in some way. More likely the prominent veins reflect a combination of increased blood flow +/- increased vein pressure (they enlarge) & this is related to something else which may relate to the pain, vs something else going on, like constipation, endometriosis, small bowel problems, etc. Complex; study images & anatomy, yet all only clues.

Nothing: Likely it is nothing. First of all if you feel fine then nothing to worry about. There are some rare situations where it can be an explanation of chronic pelvic pain but otherwise an incidental finding

i have a varicose vein on left side of penis. it's twisted and curved in entire length. i've bruised it. 1/3rd of the vein seems discolored and pains at night, and rest is ok but still twisted. what can i do? it's been 12 days and not getting better?

: Time to see a urologist. There is disagreement on whether varicose veins can occur on the penis. That said, penile vein injuries can occur and the cause of the pain needs to be evaluated. Since it does not seem to be getting better, a visual/physical exam and potentially may determine the next step.

Not serious : While perhaps personally concerning, a varicose vein on the scrotum is only cosmetic unless very large and painful. Surgical removal is possible as an office procedure with very minimal discomfort.

Leaking valves: Varicose veins are a very common problem and they are due to leaking valves (called reflux) usually in the saphenous veins.  Think of your veins like a tree with the trunk being the saphenous vein and the branches being the varicose veins.  A venous reflux ultrasound will make the diagnosis.  Common causes of this are hereditary, aging and pregnancies in women.  They are treatable with a laser.

Close leaking valves: Varicose veins are a result of malfunctioning valves usually in the saphenous system. The first step in treatment would be to obtain a venous reflux ultrasound to make the diagnosis and help plan treatment which could  be laser or radiofreqency closure of the valves usually with microphlebectomies and possible sclerotherapy or ultrasound directed sclerotherapy. You should see a vein specialist.
