Uncertain.: White, chunky discharge w/o odor but w possible itching, burning, redness or swelling may be a yeast infection. White discharge without any sxs may be leukorrhea. If d/c persists notify your gynecologist. D/c with odor or other sxs - please d/w gyn.

Usually not: It is a progestin-based medication and so should not be causing excessive bleeding, but can cause breakthrough bleeding/spotting and change of mentrual flow, or can cause you to miss your period. So, excessive bleeding is unusual, but not impossible. So, if you have trouble, consullt your doc for an eval. Good luck.

See GYN: This is probably a hormonal effect from Plan B; however, if you are old enough to have unprotected sex, you are old enough to get a pelvic exam, PAP, birth control and have your boyfriend ALWAYS USE CONDOMS!!!!!

5 days after i took plan b i started volleyball practice. i noticed vaginal bleeding while i work out but it stops when i'm done. should i be worried?

No: Some irregular bleeding may occur for several days after taking Plan B. However, you should do a pregnancy test to ascertain that Plan B worked to prevent pregnancy. Also, down the road if you want to avoid pregnancy, it is best to use consistent contraception

Yes: Vaginal itching without discharge can indicate infections like yeast or stis like herpes. It can indicate an allergic reaction to household products like certain soaps and laundry detergents. There are also some skin conditions liked lichen sclerosis which can cause vaginal itching.

See your doctor: Brown discharges are not normal from the vagina and could reflect infection, contamination, or more esoteric things,  you need a proper vaginal examination (speculum and all) to get this checked out.  Could be old blood or even part of a tampon left behind.

Plan B: After taking plan b one can expect abnormal bleeding for the next month. Plan b is a hormone and it will effect your bleeding just like any estrogen and progesterone will. I suggest you take a pregnancy test in 4 weeks. Also you may have a vaginal infection.  If the abnormal bleeding continues please go see your doctor.

Possible: Plan b is a progesterone.  Progesterones can cause breast pain (especially nipple pain or irritation).  Progesterones also cause a thickening of cervical mucous which can affect the nature of your vaginal discharge.
