Time will Heal: I am not sure what we can do here for you other than to remind you that damaged or injured skin heals with time. I would not advise putting any further product on this delicate tissue, but letting it heal on it's own.

Should return: never use Nair on your private parts. You have suffered a chemical burn and hopefully skin will heal.

Never: First off I advice people to never use Nair or other depilatory products on the sensitive pubic area. Now that one has the burn, it is best to protect it from other chemical irritants until it is completely healed. I would include a chlorinated pool and tight clothing to the list of irritants.

Possible UTI: Visit your PCP for complete evaluation. It is a good possibility that you have an urinary tract infection. The urine sample taken with a culture will support or reject the diagnosis of UTI.

Ice: Run cool water over the burn for 10-20 minutes and then apply ice.  If any sign of abrasion, consider a topical antibiotic. Can also use numbing cream (containing low dose of lidocaine). Nsaids (ibuprofen, Aleve, (naproxen) etc) may help. Expect discomfort for 3-4 days.

See a GYN MD: Unfortunately, you may have been "burned" by the Nair and a GYN MD needs to see the area to make sure that it is not secondarily infected. At that visit medication can be prescribed for pain and "burning".

i shaved with nair and now it burns when i urinate, i tried flushing my vagina with cold water but i guess since the area still sensitive it did not feel to good , so is there anything else i can do ?

: I don't regard this is as an allergic reaction. I recommend treating it like we treat a first degree burn by keeping the area clean, free from friction, too tight underwear or jeans, drink plenty of water and would apply an antibacterial cream or ointment like bacitracin twice daily. Notify your MD if not gradually improved.
