microhematuria in urine. im 25 years old. what are the most common possibilities of why its there? for sure no uti and not period blood because i wasnt on period. im scared and dont understand what it means. help please?

No: UTIs won't generally cause your periods to act up. In order to suggest things that might cause this we would need to know more about what you mean by acting up. It would be a good idea to start by discussing this with whom ever has been treating the UTIs and they could get a full history and give you a better idea about what might be going on. UTI: No the UTI is a separate issue.  I would take a pregnancy test.  Pregnancy can cause UTI's.

Menstrual irregular: Acute infections can alter menstrual cycles, but it would be unusual to persist with irregular periods after the infections have cleared.  You should be seen by an ob/gyn doctor and the reasons for this explored.

condom failed, took plan b within the hour. two days later uti like symptoms and expected period was very light but extremely dark brown.

Plan b: Plan B can cause changes in menstruation. It can cause your period to be heavier or lighter earlier or later.   Other symptoms include nausea, abdominal pain, fatigue, headache, dizziness and breast tenderness. Painful urination, is not associated with it and if it persists a urine culture should be done to rule out a urinary tract infection.

No,: drink plenty of water,and take the medication as prescribed. Followup with your doctor, particularly if the antibiotic seems ineffective.

Need more info: I assume that you are sexually active. The results of only one negative pregnancy test is NOT CONCLUSIVE. Do another about a week after the first. If still neg or now positive, see your OB/GYN.

UTI's: A vaginal discharge may be disguised by menstrual flow, and actually represent a vaginal infection. Any vaginitis can affect the urethra and cause a UTI with ascending bacteria, etc. into the bladder.  It is possible that you have chronic cystitis cause by a vaginal infection. See a healthcare professional for testing.
