: retroverted Uterus is not the cause of recurrent UTI. It can occur as a coexisting condition. If a problem see your Gynor a Urogynecologist.

No but...: Since your bladder sits right in front of your uterus, a UTI could make you think you are having uterine pain. Treat the UTI and if the pain doesn't go away, see your obgyn.

i have cervicitis & uti, and am on the 2nd day of antibiotics. i feel very bloated and some pain in the upper area of my uterus. should i be worried?

Probably the SE: Probably the side effect of the antibiotics.  Zithromax is hard on the stomach and may cause bloating.   Doxy and augmentum can cause GI side effects as well.  Go see you doc if they persist.

Multiple issues: The fibroid of the uterus is separate from a breast cyst or ovarian cyst. With multiple problems a MD is needed to sort them all out.

No: Bv is not really an infection (a common misconception) hence vaginosis, not vaginitis, and the urinary tract is not directly connected with the uterus.

No: The uterus is supported by 3 independent ligaments as the it sits behind  the bladder. When the uterus is removed the bladder is able to support itself independently. Patients who have previously had C/sections have had the bladder dissected off of the uterus and replaced post delivery. This can cause scarring(adhesions) of the bladder to the uterus with frequent UTI's &amp; retention.

Yes, it could be.: Any change in urinary tract symptoms should be checked out  A urinary tract infection can certainly cause your symptoms. There are other possibilities, but the first step is to see your doc and have an appropriate history, physical and any appropriate lab work based on the results of the exam.

See your doctor: Your doctor needs to evaluate you to make sure the infection is completely gone.

It sounds like: a drug resistant(bacterial resistant) UTI. You need a different antibiotic.

Absolutely: The fibroid pressure on your bladder is making it almost impossible to completely empty your bladder when voiding. Residual urine is one of the chief causes of recurrent urinary tract infections. As a noted tip: Empty your bladder before and as soon as convenient after intercourse to help prevent infections.
