No, : No, that is not the equivalent.  In most areas the morning after pill is available without a prescription.  You can call a pharmacy (ask for a pharmacist) and ask their advice, and they can fill it if you want.

Pelvic pain: Pelvic pain is a complex issue with many possible causes from the various organs in the pelvis. See an Obgyn if the pain does not resolve and Ibuprofen is not helping. The morning after pill is not needed if you are already on birth control.

No : If you are using birth control already the "morning after pill" should not be needed.  If you have not been using your birth control method properly, then the "morning after pill" may still be a good idea.

To cover yourself?: If you're not taking your birth control pill consistently, you would not be protected from pregnancy.  In that case you might need plan b.  Taking your oral contraceptive pills as prescribed will cover you sufficiently, if you're willing to do that.

Ok but why?: Usually the morning after pill is used when a women has not been on the birth control pill.  If the bc pill was not taken correctly - on time every day- then, if one is concerned you could take the morning after pill followed by a restart of your daily bc pill.

Discard expired pill: It is wiser to get rid of "morning after pills which expired about a year ago" and buy others.
 Be safe and continue taking your contraceptive pills more regularly and consider switching to a much more effective and "forgettable" method of preventing pregnancy like an IUD or a subdermal implant. Remember about male or female condoms too.

No: If you were only 6 hours late on each of your 2 missed pills, you are still protected.  I wouldn't recommend a morning after pill in this situation.   Best wishes!

Morning after pill: Not really.  The bcp controls your hormones, estrogen, and progestone.  The morning after pill cause your body to have your uterus to prevent implantation.
