Irritable bladder: The symptoms you describe suggest irritation of the lower urinary tract ( bladder, urethra). This maybe due to infection, inflammation or pressure from something pressing on the area. Your doctor will want to rule out infection, pregnancy and growths that could put pressure on the bladder. If these have been ruled out, interstitial cystitis is possible. Your doctor can help sort this out.

Irritation from soap: Questions to consider; Doxy is not a good UTI, so you still may have an infection. Doxy is good for vaginal. Something in contact that is irritating like gels, fabric softeners. Hurt to touch? Maybe from sex itself google honeymoon cystitis. What STDs did they ck for? maybe trichomoniasis which can give an initiations too. maybe yeast. I would go back to the doc for a follow up.

Nothing serious: No STD or other infection is a likely cause of such symptoms. It&#x27;s good you were tested to be safe, but I would have stopped after the first negative results. The cystoscopy means nothing wrong with your bladder. Even if the symptoms continue and are unexplained, for sure you have nothing harmful. Some people just have to live with symptoms of unknown cause but do so easily once known not serious.

It is possible: One can sometimes have residual inflammation from infections that a simple nsaid may relieve, but generally, if pain and burning persist, despite treatment, then have your Doc assess for other causes.  Best wishes.

Urethritis causes: include viral infections in addition to bacterial, but may also include Injury and sensitivity to the chemicals used in spermicides or contraceptive jellies, creams, or foams, and sometimes dietary chemicals. Avoid excessive holding of urine and drinking dye free liquids until urine is very light colored may be helpful.

See doctor: See your clinician for followup. There may be a cause not due to infection that is behind your symptoms now. Your clinician can look at the whole picture. A local STD clinic is another option. Hope that helps.

Normal bacteria: It's normal to have U. urealyticum in the genital tract. Once in a while it causes nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) in men, but generally harmless both in men and their sex partners. UU doesn't show up on routine tests; testing is rarely needed except in special circumstances. So nothing to worry about, especially if no symptoms. If in doubt, see an STD or infectious diseases expert. Good luck!
