?Gi issue: It is tough to guess diagnose what is wrong with your boyfriend, but with an upset stomach and fever, he may have a viral or bactrerial gastroenteritis. Have him take some tylenol (acetaminophen) and drink clear liquids.  If his pains are severe or fever gets too high, see a dr.

Simple diet: It would be good to stick to foods that are easy to digest for the next few days.  Bananas, applesauce, toast, rice, broth soups, hot water with a small piece of ginger all can help with stomach upset.  If your symptoms continue, see your doctor to look for other issues.

Virus: Many causes can produce the symptoms you describe, but it is likely you are suffering from a viral infection. Did you vomit?  Sometimes vomiting can cause small capillaries to break under the facial skin and give you a non itchy rash. It should go away by itself.

Bloating,diarrhea: Very likely that you could have encountered a form of traveler's diarrhea or other GI infection.  For this problem, it is best to see your physician as soon as possible so that he/she may obtain the necessary testing in order to properly treat your complaints.

Conservative: if you can easily make an appointment, it is always a good idea to see a doctor. however, if that is not possible then you might consider trying ginger products and replenishing your electrolytes. see a doctor if you are in unbearable pain, can't drink water, have continuous diarrhea, or have a fever. Usually GI bugs will pass.

Virus: In view of the associated fever this is most likely a viral intestinal tract infection (as opposed to food poisoning)   and  usually runs its course in several days. Rest, drink adequate fluids, avoid roughage, greasy foods and milk products if you're experiencing diarrhea. Soft solid foods are best. Tylenol as needed for aches,pains and fever. If diarrhea is problematic take kaopectate as needed.

Depends: Depends on duration and onset, mostly; it could just be an acute gastroenteritis from bacterial or viral infection.

It depends .: If colonoscopy is elective , it can wait until you get better . If you have any acute condition and colonoscopy is the diagnostic and the therapeutic choice , then it has to be done . The principle  weighing is risk /benefit ratio.
