Neck pain headache: There is a condition called cervicogenic headaches that arises from neck pain. It is most likely referred pain from the upper cervical facets. The headaches typically start back of the head and radiate forward to temple or eyes. If conservative care like pain meds and therapies do not work, you can get facet blocks. Last option is to have cervical fusion surgery.

Many causes: There are numerous reasons to have neck or and back pain and this requires a complete workup to find out why. However, the nerves that supply sensation to the face do not come from spinal cord in the neck but the lower part of the brain.  You need to see a neurologist to workup your abnormal face sensation issues.

Consider a second op: Thanks for your question. Neck and back pain unfortunately can be difficult conditions to treat. I would advise getting a second opinion from an orthopaedic spine surgeon. This much pain and bulging discs in an 18 year old is not very common.

i have upper back and neck pain that does not feel like a muscle strain. the pain is worse when doing standing lifts like squats. happened for 2 weeks?

Modify activity: Keep exercising, but hold off on the exercises that are associated with the pain. Alternatively try reducing weight (resistance) and repetitions, allowing your body to heal. Working with a physical therapist or training may help to work on technique.
