If no symptoms....: Probably nothing to worry about.  Many patients have some mucosal thickening or a small amount of fluid in 1 or more of the sinuses or mastoid air cells.

However, if there is pressure, pain or tenderness over the sinuses or around/behind an ear, a fever or foul smelling, bloody or purulent nasal secretions, a sinus infection or mastoiditis is a concern.

Reason for MRI?: If this was supposed to  be an MRI of the brain then, the read of the sinuses is a common "red herring" that radiologists always tend to comment on but rarely do the comments make it into the annals of CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE nor do they ever have to do with the initial reason for which the scan was obtained.  Bottom line is probably of no importance.  But check with your doctor or neurologist.

: CT scan indicates chronic sinusitis. No air fluid levels mean no acute sinusitis. Please follow up with your ENT surgeon to assess severity of your symptoms and treatment options.

Blockage of sinus: The extremely narrow space allowing air to enter the maxillary sinus (sinus under the eye) and allow drainage from that sinus is called the infundibulum.  Opacification of that narrow channel is the first phase of acute inflammation of that sinus.  If this blockage becomes chronic, a rhinologic surgeon can open that passage and allow  resolution of problem.

Early problem signs: A sinus on x-ray should appear black, . Opacification will appear white or grey. This could be  fluid, polyps or inflammation of the the mucosal membrane. See your doctor to determine the cause.

Opacification: On a radiograph means that something that is normally lucent (dark on x-ray because it lacks density) has some level of radio-opaqueness.

This opacification can be due to fluid & mucus from sinusitis, blood from surgery or injury, bone grafting from sinus lifts, to cysts & other masses - benign and malignant.

That finding needs to be correlated with any current or recent symptoms, illnesses, etc.

Hypoplasia means: that the sinus is smaller or less developed than normal.  This is congenital.  Mucosal thickening and fluid are signs of inflammation(sinusitis).

Accepted Answer

You have sinusitis: and will need antibiotics for at least 3 weeks, if not 4.  Longer term antibiotics have been shown to help reduce recurrent sinus infections.  Once the infection is done, you will need to see ENT to figure out with your nasal cavity has polyps or deviated septum that is fixable.
