NO MEDICATION: Without a definitive cause. Kids get stomach upset, indigestion, vomiting, diarrhea more often. Make sure certain food is not the cause. If stomach pain is bothering the child for long time, need work up to find out cause and treatment accordingly.

For some people -: the GI tract can be quite reaction to stress. Please work on reducing stress/ anxiety. Talking therapy ranks really high. Cognitive Behavioral therapy or psychotherapy can be effective. Aim for daily exercise, 8 hours of sleep per night &amp; good nutrition w 5 servings of veggies &amp; 4 of fruit per day. Try tai chi, yoga, Qi Gong, progressive muscle relaxation, deep breathing exercises &amp; meditation.

GER diet: Certain foods, activities, medications and conditions that increase pressure in your abdomen can trigger reflux.  People with acid reflux should generally avoid carbonated beverages, peppermint, chocolate, spicy foods, wine, and caffeine.  GER flare ups can create quite dramatic chest pain.  Some people require daily long term treatment to prevent symptoms and complications.
