Depends on: amount and nature of bleeding.  If it is large amount of fresh blood, you should go to nearest ED.

Possibly: the weight gain may have thinned the skin and allowed it to become irritated more easily as well as put more pressure on it from the hernia. Need to see a surgeon now for evaluation and to prevent infection or involvement of the hernia itself.

Hernia: The abdominal hernia is most likely NOT related to the Vaginal bleeding. 7 weeks of bleeding is concerning, so see your GYN first to get that evaluated and diagnosed, then treated. Secondarily, you can see the general surgeon to see if your abdominal wall hernia needs to be repaired.  Best wishes.

had surgery 4 strangulated hernia 6/2/14. placed on warfarin, but taken off 12/13/14, after negative doppler, and d diamond test. week later, had vaginal bleeding, and continues. is this normal? 2 do?

Not related: Would expect possible vaginal bleeding while on warfarin, but I wouldn't now that you are off of it.  Bleeding into the menopause always needs to be evaluated, so schedule an appointment with a gynecologist.

Unlikely: Straining to have a BM might cause pain at site of hernia repair but I can't see the connection to vaginal bleeding unless you have GYN problems unrelated to the surgery. If bleeding persists see your OB/GYN.

Hernia activity: Activities with a hernia should be limited by discomfort.  If you experience pain at the site of a hernia, it would be prudent to discontinue whatever activity you are doing.
