Fatty liver: You have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).  NAFLD tends to develop in people who are overweight or obese or have diabetes, high cholesterol or high triglycerides. If you are overweight, gradual weight loss will definitely help your fatty liver.  This is the number one cause of liver disease in the United States and is a risk factor for diabetes,

See answer: If kidney stone is in your right kidney and if question is whether kidney stone is the cause of your described pain, the answer is "possibly" if no other valid cause of your pain has been established. That said, a 5 mm renal stone in a young adult has the potential to cause problems at some point, and certainly not unreasonable to recommend eswl treatment regardless of whether it is symptomatic.

Family history?: much of this hinges I feel on your family history. If you have parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles or siblings with coronary artery disease under the age of 55 then I repeat testing in 5 years, otherwise probably in 10 years. There is no consensus on this: therefore this is my own opinion as interventional cardiologist.

Talk to Dr.: See your physician and find out exactly what was soon and if further testing needed or if there is necessary treatment.

Generally,: ultrasound is not very useful for evaluating the colon.  Whether CT is appropriate or not depends on your clinical picture.  Talk to your doctor about your symptoms.

If you are: asymptomatic and have no pertinent clinical history, annual screening with abdominal ultrasound is probably not indicated.

The protocol: is different with the different typesnof breast cancer, the tumor size, lymph node involvement, presence of metastases, etc.  Consult your surgeon.

Unlikely, but...: It can be hard to tell if a woman is pregnant because some of the symptoms seen in early pregnancy can also happen in non-pregnant women. A urine pregnancy test gives a reliable result if done correctly.  One can test about 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have been), or 1 week after missing a period. An Ob-Gyn doctor can evaluate any persistent or worrisome symptoms.

Depends.: Really depends on what organs you are referring to. Very good for some organs (kidney, ovary, uterus, pancreas, liver, gallbladder). Not very helpful for small bowel and colon. Can be helpful in some cases for the appendix. More information really depends what you are using the ultrasound for and what your are trying to rule out or evaluate.

Nothing painful ?!?!: Typical ultrasounds are brief & involve a kid on a gurney/bed. The abdomen is uncovered and a glob of clear gel is placed on the abdomen. The technician takes out a probe that looks like an over sized crayon hooked to a long thick wire & machine.The probe is placed on the goo & sends out painless sound waves that bounce off stuff in the belly allowing the machine to locate normal things & problems.
