Common complaint: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections &amp;  hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do  a home pregnancy test .  There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

You : You are likely not ovulating. Pregnancy is another cause of menstrual irregularities. Both should be investigated.

Monitor: Changes in the menstrual cycle are not unusual as women get older.  However you should monitor your symptoms, if the irregular menstruation continues or the bleeding is persistent, see your physician.  Indications for immediate evaluation include passage of clots, pain etc.

Two episodes of : Bleeding does not mean that you are pregnant.  If you miss a period then take a pregnancy test.  Pull out method is ineffective for birth control. Sporadic use of oral contraceptives is ineffective for birth control. It sounds like some part of you wants to become pregnant.

Menstrual cycles: It is common for young women to skip a period and have irregular cycles.  It is also more likely if you are very athletic, gain or lose weight, using birth control pills, or have an eating disorder.   I would track your cycles to see if it happens often and see your doctor if you notice that it becomes more irregular.

Precum: Precum is well known yo cause pregnancy. Leaking semen has fresh sperm in it. Any uncovered erect penis inside of the vagina can lead to pregnancy!

Breakthrough bleed: Sounds like breakthrough bleeding which occurs when you have bleeding at unscheduled times while on the pill. Often things get back to normal the next cycle. If not then schedule a visit to discuss changing brands  or changing birth control methods. This is very common. Other than being annoying it is not dangerous.

: A lot of things can affect your periods and many of them are of no significance. If the periods are excessively painful or heavy, if the bleeding is consistent each time, if you are not on the birth control pill or otherwise taking hormones, or if this has been happening for several months, then further evaluation is indicated.

Calculating dates: Last NORMAL menstrual period is what dates are calculated from (although it is not an exact science).  It is not at all unusual to have a light or irregualr period early in pregnancy.  Early ultrasound is very reliable for dates.
