Gas: Try some over the counter GasX meds. If you constipated, try seena over the counter or colace (docusate sodium). Pt pain is sharp, constant and unbeareable, then you need to rule out any serious problems such as bowel osbtructions, ichemia, gastritis or uclers. Moreover, upper abd pain can be caused by pancreatic, gallbladder problems. Look out for nausea, vomiting or diarrhea as associated symptoms for infxns.

Orbital myokymia: The twitching is typically benign and self limited and often a response to fatigue, stress, lack of sleep, eyestrain, etc.  Unless the myokymia spreads over face, is associated with visual changes, becomes painful, or upsets you, waiting this out over next few days would be an acceptable process.

What did you: change the dose of? If it's thyroid replacement, it can take weeks for the level to normalize, asumming you're now on the correct dose. If it's an ANTI-thyroid drug, it can takes months to work as it only inhibits the formation of NEW thyroid hormone, not the hormone that's already been manufactured.

SeveralPossibilities: Most cases of a twitching lip may be due to stress, fatigue, emotion, excessive caffeine intake or some deficiency in the diet such as potassium. Lip twitching in most cases is self-limiting, disappearing in minutes or maybe in a few days without any residual problems. Night sweats: How old are you? Do you have a fever? Recent infection? History of smoking? Eye twitching can be due to many things (see eyedoc2020@blogspot.com " myokymia"). Night sweats can be a concern so please let us know asap.

awaiting neurologist for all over muscle twitching . had full vitamin blood work up . everything fine apart from low zinc . could that be cause of twitching ? 17 weeks pregnant - so many mixed opinions online - twitching common in pregnancy ? worried?

: If your "full vitamin blood work-up" included magnesium and calcium analysis, at 17 weeks of pregnancy, the "muscle twitching could simply be from reactive overuse of muscles with a new center of gravity secondary to your pregnancy.  If not, ask your OB physician to check both blood magnesium and calcium levels.

Many possibilities: Muscle twitches can be caused by a wide variety of things. More common causes are caffeine, stress and nutrient deficiency. If you were having a lot of diarrhea with your amebiasis, you might have also had some nutrient loss. Persistent muscle twitching can also be a symptom of a more serious problem. I recommend you see your doctor for an evaluation.

Usually benign: Most common cause for twitching of the eyelids is probably "orbicularis myokymia", essentially a spasm of the eylid muscles for no apparent reason. There may possibly be a connection with stress. If the twitching stops on its own within a few weeks, usually nothing needs to be done about it. A more forceful, and long lasting twitching could be "blepharospasm" and should be evaluated by an eye md.
