Enlarged turbinates: Are you on Flonase?  You should be, twice a day and 2 sprays, put your head down and to the side when you do it.  Your ENT can also give you a short steroid burst to see if the smell comes back.  If this is not effective, the turbinates can be treated in the office and out fractured and the sensation of difficulty breathing and congestion will go away.  Your ENT can help with this.

Sense of smell ?'s: Alterations in sense of smell (or cessation of same) can be associated with Covid-19.  Suggest getting a PCR test for Covid, and asking your physician for a referral to a neurologist if the symptoms continue.

Most : Most changes in smell following intranasal surgery are self-limiting and related to swelling of the nasal mucosa which can impair odorant contact with the olfactory nerves. The middle turbinate attaches to the cribriform plate, through which the olfactory fibers pass. The "crista" may be a misdictation in the or report as the only one i'm aware of is the crista galli, which is an intracranial boney projection above the cribriform plate to which the falx cerebri attaches. It seems improbable this was fractured. As long as you are not experiencing clear fluid drainage from the nose, having unexplained headaches, fever, or neck stiffness, there is probably not much reason for concern here. A trial of topical nasal steroids (i.e., flonase) woulnd't be an unreasonable initial approach.

Well: It opens the nasal passage. Ok butbuohvdo create scar tissue so may have problems again. Try non harmful measures first like steam and hot fluids to open the nasal passages

Not sure: Turbinate surgery is performed by a variety of techniques to improve breathing and I am not sure the odor would disappear.  You need a nasal endoscopy to rule out an infection in the nose. If you already have had such a procedure and everything was normal and sinus disease has been ruled out, think of high reflux of gastric acid, so called LPR (laryngo-pharyngeal reflux).

ENT: Evaluation  is needed, surgery isn't the first line of treatment for affected sense of smell, you can have engorged turbinates due to chronic inflammation, that can be due to allergies, and can be medically treated first. History and physical exam are important by a specialist, good luck

Sinusitis: You probably have sinusitis or infection of the sinuses.  This can cause a foul smell from the nose.   Other possibilities may be an infection in the nose itself.  Have your ENT evaluate you.
