You need a diagnosis: It's easy to assume that your symptoms are caused by the surgery. If you have menstrual irregularities  and or pelvic pain, a full evaluation is warranted with hormonal testing and ultrasound.

Cyclic pain...: Some women with a history of both an ablation procedure and a tubal sterilization procedure will have pain around the same time each month.   This is caused by menstrual bleeding in the tube that can't escape because the ablation blocked the tube on one side and the sterilization blocked it on the other.  As a result, the tube can become distended with menstrual blood and this hurts!  Best wishes!

A women can ask her ob-gyn doctor what the risk is for different ablation techniques.

Post tubal syndrome: Yes, many women experience shortening of their menstrual cycle frequency due to an interruption of a blood vessel that traverses under the Fallopian tube from the uterus. Cycles of 18 to 21 days often occur. Reversing a tubal can be expensive and if cut in more than one place, impossible. Insurance companies almost never will pay for the procedure.
